Since its opening in August 2011, Jumeirah Frankfurt is home to over 40,000 honeybees – located in bee hives on the hotel’s roof on the 28th floor. With an ability to fly up to three kilometres, the honeybees can find a large variety of plants and flowers in the vicinity of the hotel, like the embankment of the river Main or the botanical garden Palmengarten. The beekeeper visits the property on an average of once a week in spring and summer, to collect honey from the honeycomb. Guests can taste the honey directly from the honeycomb each day at the breakfast buffet, enjoy a Skyline honey treatment in Talise Spa, or even buy a jar of skyline honey as a souvenir.
